JDiveLog

...the open source logbook for scuba divers

Windows

This guide applies to the installation of the binary version (.exe) of jdivelog on Windows systems. The installation from the source code or from cvs is commited to well-disposed users only.

  1. Download and install the Java Runtime Environment 5.0 (JRE) from SUN for Windows.
  2. Download JDiveLog (the jdivelog-installer-X.X.exe!) from sourceforge.net and doubleclick on the downloaded file.
  3. On installation process you can install the RXTX-2.1 libs, which are required for downloading profiles from divecomputers. If you already have a working installation of RXTX, you should skip this package (this is also the reason why it is unselected as default). Attention: installing RXTX-Package requires administrator permissions

  1. Hello,

I have issues with the installation of jdivelog on Windows Vista 64bits.
1st step is fine, but I can’t get through the second step. It doesn’t seem to bother jdivelog, because I can run it. Everything works correctly, except that i can’t specify the port com. it doesn’t find any of them.
    I have installed the “rxtx-2.1-7-bins-r2″.
I have tried the same installation process on windows xp, and it works fine…
    What am I missing ?

thanks for your help, i’d really like to use this soft for my ostc mk2

  3. Dear Sirs
How can I print a dive log?
I have tried printing, but all I got was an A4 with some dives from 2005, no way to choose, no way to export.
The export to HTML failed also.
Can I export to Excell or somthing?
    Dani
